Cultivate has been commissioned by Penwith District Council to take a look at the 2008 programming of four museums in West Penwith, to find out whether they appeal to young people, and if not, what needs to be done about it.

Working with a group of young people, the Young Museum Growers project focuses on Porthcurno Telegraph Museum, Leach Pottery, Geevor Museum and Penlee House. Young people will visit and lead discussions about the museums and what they offer young people, make suggestions on what would make them more attractive and then present their findings back to the museums at the end of the year.

With a new Cultivator, Lucy Willow, appointed to lead on the project the next step is finding a fired up group of young people ready to make their feelings about Penwith's museums known.
