Cultivate’s first Cultivator training day took place this week, at Wooda Farm in Crackington Haven.
The all day event was an opportunity for all the newly appointed Cultivators to meet, learn and lay initial plans of how to help young people and their communities get culturally active in their local areas.
Throughout the day Cultivators and the core Cultivate team got to know each other and discussed the key issues in each area. The aim of the day was to give the incoming Cultivators a full background on the Cultivate approach and how it has developed so far in order for them to feel confident and excited about taking Cultivate to the next level in their areas.
The day included a session from Jeff Ukachuwku on the evaluation process, training on how to update the www.cultivateideas.org on activities going on in Cultivators’ areas, (check out the Activities page to see how they got on) and a workshop with developmental partners Excess Energy on how to publicise and celebrate the work of young people and their communities in each area as the projects unfold.
Over lunch there was also an opportunity for Cultivators to meet representatives from many of the organisations that Cultivate has been working with and hope to be working with in order to make Cultivate a success. For further information on these organisations click on the Links page. |
